cityOf CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />Louisville AGENDA ITEM 2 <br />COLORADO -SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: BIENNIAL ETHICS AND QUASI-JUDICIAL TRAINING <br />DATE: JANUARY 22, 2024 <br />PRESENTED BY: MEREDYTH MUTH, CITY CLERK <br />SUMMARY: <br />Section 4-16 of the Home Rule Charter states that "each Councilmember and each <br />member of a permanent board or commission shall participate in at least one City - <br />sponsored open government -related seminar, workshop or other program at least once <br />every two years. Such program shall provide information on at least these topics <br />relating to municipal government: the theories and policies underlying and laws relating <br />to ethics, open government, open meetings, open records, and promoting citizen <br />participation in municipal government." <br />Sam Light, Deputy Executive Director/General Counsel, at the Colorado <br />Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) will give a training covering the topics <br />required in the Charter. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
