Any property within the City which is zoned agricultural or <br /> land which is actively used for grazing or crop production shall be <br /> exempt from the requirements of th is Section, unless it is adjacent <br /> to property which is not zoned agricultural, or is adjacent to <br /> property zoned agricultural which has a use not entirely for <br /> agricultural, commercial crop, animal production or as a horse <br /> stable. In such even t , it shall be the duty of the owner, agent, or <br /> occupant of said property to cut the weeds as required under this <br /> Section within a distance of 100 feet from the adjacent propertyline. <br /> In addition, the requirements of this Section shall not apply to any <br /> wildlife preserve or wildlife area designated by the City. <br /> 8.08.030 Owner Liable For Cost of Cutting Weeds by City. <br /> If weeds exist on any property to -heights greaterthan--six- inches, <br /> the Director of Community Services or his authorized agent, no less <br /> than ten days after notice by mail to the last known address of the <br /> owner, agent, or occupant of the property, may order the cutting and <br /> removal of the weeds by the City. The City shall assess the costs <br /> therefore, plus an additional amount up to fifty dollars to cover <br /> administrative costs, against the lots or tracts of land from which <br /> the weeds are removed.
