<br /> ,L <br /> Sec t ion 3. Description of Project. The Project and the <br /> materials to be used will consist of the following: <br /> The improvements to be constructed are Via <br /> Appia Boulevard - approxima tely 5,500 feet of <br /> 4 lane divided highway, and approximately 700 <br /> feet of pine Street - a 2 lane major <br /> collector. Via Appia will have a center <br /> landscaped median, setbacks, sidewalks, and <br /> landscaping on both sides. The road section <br /> in each direction will include a 5 foot bike <br /> lane and two 12 foot tr avel lanes. The <br /> construction will include major wa te r lines <br /> under the streets, street I ig h t i ng , and <br /> signalization where required. The actual <br /> s tree t construction will consist of concrete <br /> curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, with an <br /> alternate for concrete or asphalt pavi ng. <br /> Both streets will connect to previously <br /> completed improvements. <br /> The improvements and estimated assessments are described <br /> in more de ta il in the preliminary eng ineering report on file in <br /> the office of the Ci ty Clerk. <br /> Section 4. Approval of Engineering Plans. The <br /> e ng in e e r ' s reports, toge ther with the preliminary details, s pe c i - <br /> fications, estimates of cost, maps, and schedules prepared and <br /> filed the City Clerk, are hereby approved and adopted. <br /> Section 5. Project Authorized. The Project, as shown <br /> by the plans, specifications, and maps prepared by the engineer <br /> and approved by the Council, and now on file in the office of the <br /> City Clerk, is hereby authorized and ordered. <br /> Sect ion 6. Cost of Project; He t hod of Assessment. The <br /> est ima ted to t a I cost of the Project is $2,280,000, plus an amoun t <br /> not exceeding 6% addi tional for costs of inspection, collection, <br /> and incidentals, all of which will be derived from assessments <br /> against real property incl uded within the Di s t r i ct. It is <br /> an t ic ipa ted that the Ci ty will not pay any part of the cost of the <br /> Project except to the extent that an assessment is made against <br /> prope rty owned by the City. The method of assessment of cost <br /> shall be as follows: <br /> The total costs of the Project, including all <br /> related costs, shall be assessed against the <br /> - 5 - <br />
