Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />January 24, 2024 <br />Page 5of6 <br />There was a discussion about examples for what the opportunity areas might present more <br />specifically. <br />There was a discussion about activating downtown with more foot traffic and a question on the <br />current timeline for construction. Hunter noted that the construction timeline for the development <br />will likely be around 16 months once it begins. <br />There was a discussion about the transition from the Little Italy neighborhood to the north to the <br />proposed property and a concern about having tall townhouses on Griffith due to current ice <br />buildup issues along this street. Hunter proposed a meeting with residents of the Little Italy <br />neighborhood to discuss options and mentioned that so far, they have not received response to <br />their inquiries to these residents. <br />Public Comment: <br />Rick Kron mentioned support for this development <br />Josh Cooperman suggested that a -bike parking with solar awning would be a great addition to <br />the development. <br />Discussion — Bag Tax Funded Sustainability Programs Overview <br />Sustainability Coordinator Hannah Miller presented an informational update and overview of the <br />Bag Tax Funded Sustainability programs. <br />Commissioner Comments: none <br />There was a discussion on how the outreach is being done. <br />Public Comment: none <br />Future Agenda Items <br />Discussion Items for Next Regular Meeting, Wednesday, February 21, 2024: <br />South Street Underpass Funding <br />2.
