Ci*ty{)f LOUISVILLE REVITALIZATION <br />Louisv111e COMMISSION <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: STAFF UPDATES <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 28, 2024 <br />PRESENTED BY: VANESSA ZARATE, ECONOMIC VITALITY MANAGER <br />SUMMARY: <br />In the following, staff provides business and property updates related to activity within <br />the Highway 42 Urban Renewal Area. <br />Green Business Program <br />In 2024, Louisville is becoming a local branch of the Colorado Green Business Network <br />(CGBN). This means Louisville businesses will benefit from statewide recognition, on - <br />site assistance, coaching, and support —all aimed at enhancing business sustainability <br />efforts. <br />As a CGBN regional partner, the City of Louisville will continue to be the primary point of <br />contact for Green Business support, while also offering tailored assistance from a team <br />of Green Business Specialists at the state level. This dual approach combines the <br />prestige of a statewide program with the personalized touch of local support. <br />Join us as we embark on this journey towards operational sustainability, with <br />opportunities for growth, recognition, and valuable connections throughout the state. <br />https://cdphe.colorado.gov/co-green-business <br />Main Street Closure <br />A temporary Main Street Closure proposal is anticipated to go to City Council in March <br />2024. <br />Downtown Vision Plan <br />There will be an Open House for the Downtown Vision Plan on February 22, 2024. This <br />will provide an opportunity for the public to engage with ideas and provide project <br />feedback. There will be additional opportunities for public engagement throughout the <br />year. <br />Comprehensive Plan Update <br />The Comprehensive Plan public engagement plan is underway. An open house will be <br />held Thursday, March 21st at the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center (900 Via <br />Appia Way). Kids are welcome. <br />Agenda Packet P. 9 <br />
