<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 876 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9 OF <br /> THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> CONCERNING ARSON, ADDING A SECTION <br /> AND AMENDING THE SECTION CONCERNING <br /> THEFT. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville has <br />determined that a need exists whereby it will be a crime to <br />commit arson in the City of Louisville, and; <br /> WHEREAS, it has also been determined that the ordinance <br />regarding theft of property should be amended to incorporate a <br />larger value for property to be included in said ordinance. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, as follows: <br /> Section 1. Section 9.46.030, of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 9.46.030 <br /> Theft <br /> It is unlawful for any person to knowingly obtain or <br />exercise control over any item or items of value of less than <br />three hundred dollars without authorization or by threat or <br />deception and who: <br /> A. Intends to deprive the other person permanently of <br />the use or benefit of the thing of value; or, <br /> B. Knowingly uses, conceals or abandons the thing of <br />value in such manner as deprived the other person permanently of <br />its use or benefit; or, <br /> C. Uses, conceals, or abandons the thing of value <br />intending that such use, concealment or abandonment will deprive <br />the other person permanently of its use and benefit; or, <br /> D. Demands any consideration to which it is not legally <br />entitled as a condition to restoring the thing of value to the <br />other person. <br /> Section 2. The following section is hereby added to <br /> - <br />Chapter 9.46, Title 9, of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br />
