<br /> ORDINANCE NO. -Y.L <br /> Series 1985 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROCEDURE <br /> UNDER TITLE 13 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING DISCONTINUANCE <br /> OF WATER SERVICE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff believes that Ordinances relative <br />to discontinuance of water service should be amended; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would provide temporary <br />discontinuance of water service and the ability to reactivate <br />service. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1 . Section 13.08.110, Chapter 13.08 is hereby <br />repealed. - <br /> Section 2 . The following Section is hereby added to <br />Chapter 13-:-08 , Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 13.08.110 Discontinuance of Service <br />Any person who desires to permanently discontinue the use of water <br />shall file written notice with the City and pay all current and back <br />charges for water used. <br />Any person who desires to temporarily discontinue the use of water <br />shall file written notice to the City Utility Billing Department and <br />pay all current and back charges for water used. A fifteen dollar <br />fee shall be charged for discontinue water service. During the time <br />a water service is temporarily discontinued there shall be no minimum <br />monthly charge for water consumption. However, there shall continue <br />to be charged bond retirement and interest payment cost per Section <br />13.12.070 of this code. When a person wishes to reactivate a <br />temporarily discontinued service they shall file wi th the City's <br />Utility Billing Department written notice and pay all current and <br />back charges for water service. A fifteen dollar fee shall be <br />charged for reactivating a discontinued service. <br /> AND ORDERED PUBLISHED THIS --~~ DAY OF <br /> , 1985. <br /> ~~ <br /> Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />c:&k'~ <br />
