Lisa noted <br />that to support such outrech efforts, the Town would appreciate receiving raw <br />statistical data on Library usage and not just the reports that they have been receiving. <br />The members discussed limitations posed on releasing some data due to privacy issues <br />and Colorado Library Law.All agreed that the issue of statistics reportingwill continue <br />to be explored as the two municipalities move forward under the IGA. <br />Sean Lamborne, a University of Denver MLS student performing his practicum at the <br />Library, mentioned the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) site, which provides <br />information on library advocacy. BHAG is a task force of the Colorado Association of <br />Libraries (CAL). Jamie LaRue, Director of Douglas County Libraries, is the BHAG <br />committee chair. The site http://bhagcolorado.blogspot.com/also provides information <br />on 2010 ballot initiatives 60, 61, and 101. <br />ÞòÒ¿¬·±²¿´ Ô·¾®¿®§ É»»µ ß½¬·ª·¬·»­ øß°®·´ ïïóïé÷ ñ Ô·¾®¿®§ ß°°®»½·¿¬·±² Ûª»²¬ <br />Beth noted that the Library has created a READ poster featuring Library staff, which will <br />be displayed in the lobby along with some staff recommended titles. <br />The Library will host an Open House on April 17 from 10-12. The Library will also launch <br />a new addition to the collection—Have-it-Today (HIT) DVDs—which will be ready for the <br />Open House on Saturday, April 17. During the week, Malcolm Fleming and Scott Randall <br />will be guest readers during a children’s story time. Louisville Mayor pro-tem Sheri <br />Marsella and Superior Mayor Andrew Muckle will be guest readers on April 17. Members <br />of the Board will also be on hand to greet Library visitors during the Open House and <br />Library staff will be available to conduct tours of the building. <br />The Board then discussed particulars for the Library staffappreciation event. Board <br />members will prepare a salad bar buffet lunch for staff on April 13. Meredith Davis suggested special <br />nights for different schools in Louisville and Superior. Meredith also asked about having <br />some series lists prepared. <br />×ÈòÜ·®»½¬±®­ λ°±®¬ <br />ßòͬ¿¬·­¬·½­ <br />Statistics were reviewed and Beth noted that the comprehensive report that the Board <br />typically sees at each meeting will be distributed quarterly instead.
