February 19, 2004
Dear City Council Members:
Louisville Historic
Preservation Commission
The members of the Historic Preservation Commission are excited to meet with
you at the study session on February 24 to discuss the work that we have done
in the past year and our plans for the future. We will briefly summarize the draft
historic preservation ordinance that we have prepared and will answer any
questions that you may have.
We will also present some other ideas that we have regarding positive incentives
for historic preservation in Louisville. We welcome any feedback that you can
give to us.
We are deeply committed to preserving Louisville's unique qualities and heritage,
while at the same time recognizing personal property rights. We believe that the
draft ordinance will help accomplish both of these tasks.
Louisville is a special place to live and visit, and we look forward to helping
ensure that it stays this way.
Sincerely,
Louisville Historic Preservation Commission
