COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
FROM: WILLIAM A. SIMMONS
CITY MANAGER
DATE: June 8, 2004
SUBJECT: Review Proposed Change to Irrigation Water Rates — The Springs at
Coal Creek Homeowners Association
ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: City Manager's Office
SUMMARY:
Staff met Friday morning with Bill McDermott and John Eckl representing the homeowners
association for The Springs at Coal Creek, to review the formula to be used for calculating the
rates for the water consumption from the irrigation taps for the development. We believe there
is mutual understanding about the formula to be used for calculating the rates, and staff is
looking at options for the billing process. We will work on this the beginning of next week and
provide information to the City Council at the study session. We have scheduled adoption of
the resolution making the adjustment for approval at the June 15 regular City Council meeting.
SUBJECT AGENDA ITEM
