<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />APRIL 20 2006 <br />Page 8 of 17 <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br />George Clough, 592 Portside Ct., Lafayette discussed the impacts of the development to his <br />property that abuts the proposed development. He requested consideration of a buffer between <br />the two communities. He also suggested larger lots, especially those right next to the border of <br />Lafayette. <br /> <br />Art Felts, a resident at Balfour discussed open space, available parking locations close to the <br />open space and the parking lot of the businesses close to this proposed development. <br /> <br />John Leary, 1116 Lafarge Ave., Louisville, addressed the following concerns: (1) the number of <br />units to meet the Comprehensive Plan objective, (2) the commission should look at the entire <br />Comp Plan not just this Plan Area, (3) the project cost is higher than for the rest of Louisville, (4) <br />the project income is higher than the rest of Louisville and (5) are the number of reported trips <br />really all new trips for the traffic count. <br /> <br />Garrett Cole, 2387 Sandpiper, Lafayette, inquired about development to the westside ofHWY 42 <br />and what impacts could be expected with regards to traffic. He suggested that additional feeder <br />streets be added to the site. <br /> <br />Commission Discussion and Direction: <br />Lipton asked staff if they had the Commission comments from this evening so they could be <br />addressed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Wood replied that he did have the comments. <br /> <br />Lipton also requested that the majority of the next meeting be spent on the three Fiscal Analysis <br />done by the City, Markel and Leary. <br /> <br />Lipton moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to continue the public hearing on the North End <br />project to the May 25,2006 meeting. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />~ Resolution No. 16, Series 2006, Clementine Subdivision Filing No.2, A proposed <br />three-lot preliminary subdivision replat at 333 East St. in a Residential Medium Density <br />(RM) zoning district and an amendment to conditions of approval related to authorization <br />of the original Clementine Subdivision with respect to a limitation on the number of <br />allowed residential dwelling units.
