City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> June 1,2010 <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br /> This year there are more Main Street Patios at more locations and each has a <br /> revocable licensed agreement with the City of Louisville. The project is funded <br /> and maintained by the Downtown Business Association. <br /> Saturday, June 5 Events: The Chamber of Commerce is hosting The Taste of <br /> Louisville Event; the Farmer's Market opens and the Touch a Truck Event will be <br /> at Louisville Recreation Center. <br /> City Manager Fleming will attend his parent's 60 wedding anniversary in New <br /> Mexico next week and Deputy City Manager Balser will be in charge. <br /> Mayor Sisk noted the DBA constructed the Main Street Patios on Memorial Day. He <br /> thanked the DBA for taking their time on Memorial Day to build the patios. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AND UPDATE ON THE CITY'S STORMWATER PROGRAM <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> Operations Manager Ken Mason introduced and welcomed Janice Lopitz, Coordinator <br /> for Keep It Clean Partners (KICP). Ms. Lopitz has been the Coordinator for the <br /> Partnership since its inception in 2001 and has done an admirable job maintaining a <br /> working relationship with the other community members in the Keep It Clean <br /> Partnership. She was instrumental in the development of the award winning <br /> Stormwater Program, which was recognized nationally by the EPA. <br /> Janice Lopitz, Coordinator for Keep It Clean Partners (KICP), outlined the highlights of <br /> joint KICP efforts through a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation focused on <br /> program highlights for 2009, regulatory trends and local programs for 2010 and beyond. <br /> She reminded Council the City of Boulder, Boulder County, Town of Superior, City of <br /> Longmont, and Town of Erie are all partners in the Keep It Clean Partners (KICP). She <br /> explained the Keep It Clean Partners' mission is to meet the State's permit <br /> requirements in the Boulder Creek and St. Vrain Watershed municipalities. The 2009 <br /> accomplishments are as follows: <br /> Annual Report Accomplishments Outreach to school children, adult residents, <br /> businesses, construction industry and municipal employees. <br /> Things to come CDPHE Audit of Louisville Program, E. Coli TMDL for Coal <br /> Creek; National Survey on Stormwater and Low Impact Development. <br /> Erosion Control, Permanent Water Quality Structures and Illegal Discharge <br /> Prevention. <br /> KICP 2010 Efforts Carwash Sign Distribution; Pressure Washing Training, <br /> Youth Corps and Effectiveness Survey. <br />
