City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> August 3, 2010 <br /> Page 8 of 9 <br /> MOTION: Councilor Muckle moved to approve Ordinance No. 1577, Series 2010, with <br /> an amendment to Section 17.12.060, in the fourth WHEREAS, to read as follows: <br /> Section 17.12.060 of the Louisville Municipal Code currently limits the maximum floor <br /> area within the westerly portion of Downtown Louisville to 375,000 SF, 50,000 SF be <br /> reserved for projects, which qualify for support under the Louisville Historic Preservation <br /> Ordinance. Councilor Yarnell seconded the motion. <br /> City Attorney Light asked for clarification on the wording of the motion's amendment, <br /> "which qualify for support under the Louisville Historic Preservation Ordinance." He <br /> explained currently an application is processed through the Historic Preservation <br /> Commission and the final decision is made by City Council. He asked whether the <br /> amendment proposes Council make a decision on whether a property qualifies for <br /> support through the land use application process. <br /> Councilor Muckle withdrew his arnendment to the motion. Councilor Yarnell withdrew <br /> her second to the motion. <br /> MOTION: Councilor Muckle rnoved to approve Ordinance No. 1577, Series 2010, <br /> seconded by Councilor Yarnell. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote <br /> of 6 -0. Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Marsella. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> No items to report. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilor Muckle reported the DRCOG Board of Directors unanimously supported <br /> funding $25 Million to support the US 36 TIGER/TIFIA Loan effort. Surplus funds will <br /> build the new Health /Science Center at 1 -225. He reported the Water Committee will <br /> meet in September. <br /> Mayor Sisk reminded Council of the Tuesday, August 10, 2010 Study Session and <br /> noted there will not be a Study Session on August 24, 2010. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Councilor Clabots rnoved for adjournment, se onded by Councilor Sackett. <br /> All were in favor.
