PAGE THREE <br />SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION 2010 – 2011 WORK PLAN <br />DATE: SEPTEMBER 14, 2010 <br />Core <br /> Joint discussion with Historic Preservation Commission. <br /> Provide recommendations for potential revisions in order to help preserve historic character. <br />Status: <br /> Joint Planning Commission and HPC review complete. <br /> No changes recommended. <br /> Staff is seeking to clarify the demolition process and simplify minor revisions to buildings over 50 <br />years old. <br />Schedule: <br /> Completion - fall 2010 <br />Subdivision Re-Plat Review Criteria <br />Description:Review Planning Commission criteria and process for reviewing subdivision re-plat <br />requests of residential parcels in order to determine whether the existing criteria and process <br />overlaps and/or conflicts with the criteria used by the Board of Adjustments. <br /> Provide recommendations to City Council related to simplifying the process of reviewing sub- <br />division re-plat requests. <br /> Ensure that the review criteria consider the preservation of neighborhood character and other <br />Comprehensive Plan goals. <br />Status: <br /> No progress to date. <br /> A property on Roosevelt will be coming to Planning Commission – fall 2010. <br />Schedule: <br /> Discussion and Draft Ordinance - fall 2010 / winter 2011 <br />Revisit Telecommunications / CRMS Facility Regulations <br />Description:The Telecommunication/CMRS Facility regulations were drafted over 10 years ago <br />when the wireless technology was relatively new and wireless service was not considered to be <br />more of a convenience and not a necessity as they are today. Wireless technology has <br />continued to evolve and Louisville needs to be prepared to support new wireless voice and <br />data technologies which might require changes in regulations related to antenna placement <br />and designs. <br />Status: <br /> Do the current CMRS regulations need to be modified to reflect current industry standards? <br /> Provide potential recommendations to City Council related to the need to modify the current <br />Telecommunication/CMRS facility regulations. <br />Status: <br /> No progress to date. <br /> Staff to initiate a dialog with industry experts to better understand the latest trends, and <br />technology related to our current ordinance. <br />Schedule: <br /> Discussion and Draft Ordinance - spring 2011 <br /> City-wide Policy Framework – summer, 2011. <br />4 <br /> <br />
