Golf Course Advisory Board
Minutes
August 16, 2010
2. The board viewed the promotional video for Coal Creek. This video will be
playing before the Rockies Game at Coors Field.
3. We will see more advertising for Coal Creek on cable TV. It is more cost
efficient than other venuesie. – newspaper & magazines.
4. Bobby Heath stated that the Peak Player loyalty program is extremely
valuable and Coal Creek is a very stable product.
5. Eric Jensen handed out a Rounds/Rate Analysis sheet and we reviewed.
Item VII on Agenda –
The agreement presented is pretty straight forward.
Item VIII on Agenda –
1. Our quarterly report may be submitted as written or oral.
2. Currently Coal Creek is borrowing a rough mower unit and the $500,000
worth of new equipment is in Denver now.
a. The benefit of the new rough mower is that they will have two 8’
units making a pass of 16’. Now they are only able to do 11’ .
b. They will be able to operate the front nine and the back nine more
efficiently.
c. They are all electric units.
3. Bobby Heath will send next submission electronically.
Item X on Agenda –
The By-Laws were approved as written. Lisa Norgard
moved and Perry Nelson seconded.
Item XI on Agenda –
Eric stated that when scoring the Secret Shopper form it is
all pass fail. So when you have a 0/5 you will score a 0 or a 5. Same goes for a
0/10 it will be a score of 0 or a 10 not a 7.
The board discussed continuing with our “secret shopper” evaluation process
and emailing our results to Ken when we have them.
Item XII on Agenda –
The consensus of the board was to discuss the Golfer
Concern List at each meeting and that should give us a barometer as to the
problem areas.
1. WGP is aware that the bunkers are in bad condition.
2. The rough at Coal Creek tends to be what it is right now. A determining
factor is the type of the grass we have but the new rough mowers should
help.
3. Eric stated that there will be a new spike cleaner to clean off shoes in
replace of the old one that was removed due to the new stairs.
Discussion Items for Next Meeting-
1. Develop the plan to executive key areas of the resolution.
2. Study the Operating Plan.
