Brown and Ericson Ownership
The property was purchased by Joseph Lepenske in 1905, which is the same year he
had the house constructed. Helma Brown and Betty Ericson were also owners during
this time period.
1907 to 1921 Charles and Christina Zarini
The Zarini's were a well known Italian family in Louisville. Charles was not only a miner
in the local coal mines but also went on to operate several retail establishments in
Louisville, such as a candy store on Main, the Colorado Cafe (now the Old Louisville
Inn), and Louisville Liquor.
1921 to 1998- Joseph and Rose (Domenico) Ross
Joseph Ross worked in Louisville as a coal miner for over 33 years. In the 1930's
Joseph was also a City Councilman for Louisville. Rose was a homemaker and a
member of the Domenico family. They owned the house until 1998, when the property
was sold to the current owners.
1948 Assessor's Photo
