Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />August 9, 2010 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />area. The LRC members approved Resolution# 10-02 regarding the 2011 <br />budget by a unanimous vote. <br />2. Report on signalization of Hwy 42/Arnold Property <br />Troy Russ provided the LRC an update on the current access plan for the <br />Hwy 42 area. The plan is being reviewed internally and will be shared <br />with council and then Boulder County. Troy explained that Pine, Griffith, <br />Hecla, Pascal are currently in the CDOT access management plan from <br />1991. Short Street and the access to the Arnold property are not currently <br />included in the CDOT access plan. Staff is working with CDOT to analyze <br />and potentially include the Arnold Property Access and Short Street in the <br />CDOT access management plan. The LRC discussed the need to further <br />understand the land use plan for the LRC area and where new signals <br />along Hwy 42 should occur best from a revitalization standpoint. LRC and <br />Malcolm discussed the importance of working on a corridor study to <br />understand the role of redevelopment and transportation investments. <br />3. Report on Village Square Shopping Center/Louisville Plaza <br />Troy and Malcolm provided an update on marketing the property with a <br />wider range of potential tenants. Bonnie is working with the agents. <br />4. Date of Council study session – September 28, 2010 <br />LRC would like to have an agenda item at the meeting to discuss the <br />competing needs of the LRC given the unresolved issues such as <br />FastTracks, CDOT signals, etc. The LRC will add an agenda item to <br />“outline a presentation” for this joint meeting at the September 2010 LRC <br />meeting. <br />5. Other Updates <br />Troy provided an update on an application on East Empire Road for a <br />storage facility. <br />Development Referrals – Updates on Post Office and 701 Main <br />No updates were given <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting September 13, 2010 @ 7:30 AM, <br />The LRC will outline the items for joint meeting with council <br />Commissioners’ Comments <br />Michael commented on how “The minimal investments via the business <br />assistance packages have yield a lot of benefit in downtown” <br />Robert Lathrop “The city has been very positive about bringing new business to <br />Louisville and there is a new spirit of partnerships” <br />Adjourn <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:30 <br /> <br />
