(a) Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle, attended or <br /> unattended, standing upon any portion of a street or highway <br /> right -of way within the city in such a manner as to constitute a <br /> violation of section 1210 of this code, or left unattended on public <br /> property, including any portion of a street right -of -way for a period <br /> of 24 hours or more, such officer shall require such motor vehicle <br /> to be removed or cause the same to be removed and placed in <br /> storage in any impound lot designated or maintained by the law <br /> enforcement agency employing such officer. <br /> (b) Whenever any police officer finds a motor vehicle, <br /> attended or unattended, standing upon any portion of a street right <br /> of -way in such a manner as to constitute an obstruction to traffic or <br /> proper street maintenance, such officer is authorized to cause the <br /> motor vehicle to be moved to eliminate any such obstruction; and <br /> neither the officer nor anyone acting under his direction shall be <br /> liable for any damage to such motor vehicle occasioned by such <br /> removal. <br /> (2) Disposal of abandoned vehicle. Disposal of any <br /> vehicle impounded pursuant to this section will be in accordance <br /> with section 42 -4 -1804, C.R.S. <br /> K. Section 1212, Parking not to obstruct traffic or maintenance, is added to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 1212. Parking not to obstruct traffic or maintenance. <br /> (1) No person shall park any vehicle upon a street or <br /> highway in such a manner or under conditions as to interfere with <br /> the free movement of vehicular traffic or proper street or highway <br /> maintenance. <br /> (2) Any person who violates this section commits a class B <br /> traffic infraction. <br /> L. Section 1406, Foreign matter on highway prohibited, subsection (5) is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> (5) (b) (II) Any person who violates paragraph (a) of subsection <br /> (1) of this section by throwing or depositing a container of human waste <br /> upon or along any highway shall be punished by a fine of $500. <br /> Ordinance No. 1579, Series 2010 <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br />
