WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that allocation of use tax revenues as <br /> provided for in Ordinance No. 1575 will also produce additional sustained revenues for <br /> open space and historic preservation purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council finds it is in the best interest of the City and its citizens <br /> to adopt a permanent City use tax at a rate of three and one half percent (3.50 upon <br /> the use storage distribution or consumption of any article of tangible personal property <br /> or taxable services purchased leased or rented from sources outside the City and upon <br /> rental of storage space within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, state law allows the City Council to adopt this resolution as a <br /> statement of City Council's position of support for the adoption of Ballot Issue 2D; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, that the City Council supports the adoption of a <br /> permanent City use tax at a rate of 3.50% as proposed in Ordinance No. 1575, Series <br /> 2010 and urges Louisville citizens to vote in favor of such use tax by voting in favor of <br /> Ballot Issue 2D at the November 2, 2010 election. <br /> APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 2010. <br /> 0 U isy f <br /> 4�e <br /> g ue SEAL <br /> C ha r isk, Mayor <br /> e 74TTEST: <br /> ee e <br /> p f LQ�� <br /> 4. t <br /> Nancy, Varr:, City Clerk <br /> Resolution No. 60, Series 2010 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
