1111111111111111111111 QIlIII 11111111 11111(1111111111 03 104318 10/08/2010 10:16 AM RF: $16.00 DF: $0.00 Boulder County Clerk, CO RESOLUTION NO. 50 SERIES 2010 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE ZARINI HOUSE LOCATED AT 1109 LAFARGE AVENUE AN HISTORIC LANDMARK WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an historic landmark application for the Zarini House, located at 1109 Lafarge Avenue, on property legally described as Lots 3 4, Block 3, Barclay Place, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville Municipal Code, including Section 15.36.050 (A), establishing criteria for landmark designation; and WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City Council a recommendation of approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly noticed public hearing on the application; and WHEREAS, the building was constructed in 1909, and has not been significantly altered since that time; and WHEREAS, the building has social significance because of its association with the Zarini family, whose members made significant contributions to the development of the City throughout the twentieth century; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to the individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in Section 15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the historic landmark application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: 1. The proposed historic landmark application for the Zarini House is hereby approved and is hereby designated an historic landmark to be preserved as such.
