There is an existing Stone Storage Shed, built sometime in the 1950’s, which has
historical and social significance. As stated above, the storage shed was built through a
labor of love – the rocks were trucked in from Eldorado Springs, the iron roof rafters are
old coal mine rails, the cement was donated by local businesses and the labor was
donated by the citizens of Louisville.
Another architectural element would be the wrought iron front entry gate. This gate
th
dates back to the early 20 century.
CURRENT USE:
This property is and always has been used as a cemetery.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND CRITERIA FOR LISTING AS LOCAL
LANDMARK:
Landmarks must be at least 50 years old and meet one or more of the criteria for
architectural, social or geographic/environmentalsignificance as described in Louisville
Municipal Code (LMC) Section 15.36.050(A).
