Louisville Library Board of Trustees & <br />Historical Commission <br />Joint Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, September 16, 2010 <br />Louisville Public Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00p.m. <br />I.Call to Order <br />:The meeting was called to order a few minutes after 7p.m. following a <br />tour of the Louisville Historical Museum led by Bridget Bacon for the Library Trustees and <br />a tour of the Library led by Beth Barrett for the Historical Commission. <br />II.Roll Call: <br />Library TrusteesPresent <br />:Nisa Bradley, Eileen Patrick, Jeannie Schuman, Meredith <br />Davis,Alicia Mahoney <br />Historical Commission Members Present: <br />Dustin Sagrillo, Colleen Vandendriessche, <br />Brian Chamberlin, Dan Mellish,Diane Marino, Sally Burlingame, Jennifer Strand, Pat <br />Seader <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Debra Williams, Town of Superior <br />Karen Freiter, Library Staff <br />III.Approval of Agenda: <br />Attendees approved the agenda. <br />IV.Public Comments: <br />None. <br />V.Trustee Information Comments onItems Not on the Agenda <br />. None. <br />VI.New Business: Open Discussion <br />a.Bridget Bacon presented the city’s award for the Historical Commission’s entryto <br />promote the Historical Museumin the Louisville Labor Day Parade: a second-place <br />trophyin the category of “Civic Float,”which generated a round of applause from <br />everyone present. <br />b.The Library and Museum collaboration is viewed by both sides as positive. Among <br />other things, the Library has provided Bridget with a workspace at the Library, which <br />has been helpful. There have beenseveral joint projects during the past year <br />including several presentations at the Library by speakers with a historical focus. <br />These are coming up: <br /> <br />
