<br />Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />Don estimates 35 people will attend. 15 @ $3 and 20 @ $5 <br />$250 a piece for artists <br />Ticket sales would go for a reception for poets afterwards. <br />Don would like $500 for poetry night. <br />Approved <br /> <br />David would like $250 for a free children's event on Nov 4 at 10:30. <br />Approved <br /> <br />Salsa night -Maryan wanted $500. <br />Jazz piano is Maryan's event. We don't know if she needs any money. <br /> <br />Young Artists - is a standing item. <br />Letter sent out to art teachers. <br />LAA doesn't want to get into home school issue. <br />Music typically from the high school, but they have scheduled a band trip for that <br />weekend. <br />It was suggested we talk to piano teachers, or go to Coal Creek - Golden Oldies. <br />Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts (RMCMA) might be a possibility for <br />musIc. <br />Board Members sit the shows on Saturdays. 3 hours long - 1.5 hour shifts. <br />LAA puts up the show. <br /> <br />Wendy suggests a collaboration with RMCMA. They hold 180 people and have a <br />bigger stage. Might be good for Flamenco. <br /> <br />Adjourned 9:01 <br />
