MEMORANDUM TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: SHARON ASTI-CARANCI ACTING CITY ADMINISTRATOR DATE: November 1, 1994 SUBJECT: Resolution No. 62, Series 1994 - Approval of a Temporary Subdivision Directional Sign for Waneka Landing. ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: PLANNING DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The request if for CC&W Investments (Waneka Landing Subdivision) to construct a permanent monument sign on the Seventh-Day Adventist Church property, located at Pascal Drive and Highway 42, which is within the city of Louisville. LOCO IP fu �., t 7L4aet The copy on the sign would initially provide directional information to Waneka Landing for two years. After the two years, the copy on the sign would be changed to provide a permanent identification for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The proposed ,12-.S'square foot sign complies with the maximum 15 square feet allowable for a church bulletin sign. However, the Louisville Municipal od restricts subdivision directional signs to 10 sqeet per sign face. — 1 C. cw ct. cgv. 15�si�G ��) The Planning Commission held a public hearing on October 11, 1994 and approved the request 7:0 with the following two conditions; 1. The sign may be used for a subdivision directional sign only until November 15, 1996. It shall revert to only a church bulletin sign after that date; 2. The existing subdivision directional sign shall be removed upon installation of the new sign. The existing church sign shall be removed upon conversion of the new sign to church use. RECOMMENDATION: If the Council desires to approve the requested temporary subdivision directional sign, ACCEPT A MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 62, SERIES 1994. LIf Council wishes to add conditions, they should be noted in the motion.
