WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has completed an Internal Decarbonization Plan <br />and a Community Decarbonization Plan that set targets and recommend strategies to <br />decarbonize municipal facilities and residential and commercial buildings through energy <br />efficiency, building and transportation electrification and energy supply. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City of Louisville hereby updates the following clean energy and carbon <br />emission reduction goals- <br />1 . Meet all of Louisville's municipal electric needs with 100% carbon -free sources <br />by 2025. <br />2. Reduce energy -related municipal greenhouse gas emissions 60% below the <br />2016 baseline by 2030 and achieve carbon -neutrality by 2050. <br />3. Generate 75% of Louisville's residential and commercial/industrial electric <br />needs from carbon -free sources by 2030. <br />4. Reduce energy -related residential and commercial/industrial GHG emissions <br />60% below the 2016 baseline by 2030 and achieve carbon -neutrality by 2050. <br />Section 2.
