<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 18 <br /> Series 1985 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE <br /> PUBLIC DISCLOSURE PROCEDURE <br /> TO INCREASE PROPERTY TAXATION <br /> PAYABLE WITHIN THE CITY OF <br /> LOUISVILLE UNDER THE COLORADO <br /> REVISED STATUTES. <br /> WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes 29-1-303 allows <br /> municipalities to adopt a special procedure to increase property <br /> taxes; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such a procedure allows for an increase after a <br /> public hearing with notice being provided; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such public notice has been provided as <br /> required by statute; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville <br /> believes the adoption of such procedure, which must occur by a <br /> two thirds vote of the City Council, is beneficial and necessary <br /> for the well being of the citizens of the City of Louisville. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: The City Council hereby adopts <br /> the Public Disclosure Procedure as allowed under the Colorado <br /> Revised Statutes 29-1-303 and hereby forwards on such resolution <br /> to the County Assessor and the Division of Local Government as <br /> required by statute. Such procedure may include a proposal to <br /> increase property taxes of the citizens of the City of Louisville <br /> by greater than 7 per cent. The City Clerk is hereby authorized <br /> to provide all necessary public notices for any future hearings <br /> in this regard. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of September, 1985. <br /> ~//b <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Q~~) <br /> City Clerk <br />
