City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 6, 2024 <br />Page 4 of 14 <br />Tess Weltzin, Lafayette, stated she supports Cooperman for his support for localized <br />change in Louisville to address climate change and his work with youth in the <br />community. <br />Kevin Lombardo, Louisville, stated he feels Cooperman is the strongest candidate for <br />the position and Cooperman is best prepared to take the seat. <br />Don Parcher, Louisville, supports Cooperman for his commitment to addressing climate <br />change. <br />Michiko Christiansen, Louisville, stated she read all the applications and supports <br />Cooperman because of his experiences. <br />Josh Cooperman, Louisville, pooling time with Aubryn Cooperman, stated he was <br />disappointed to learn that the Council initial support for the seat was for Tim Bierman. <br />He stated he wants to make his case again as he feels he is the best candidate for the <br />seat. He stated the selection process was too undefined and the Council should have <br />created criteria by which to make the decision. He feels his responses to the interview <br />questions were strongest and he is the best prepared to take the seat. He has shown <br />his commitment to serving the community and feels his engagement on issues over the <br />past four years makes him the best candidate. He asked Council to appoint him. <br />Cynthia Come, Louisville, stated she supports Cooperman for his commitment to open <br />space, parks, and sustainability. She feels he brings the best skills and expertise to the <br />seat. <br />Helen Moshak, Louisville, stated she supports Cooperman as a proven community <br />leader and his demonstrated skills fighting for a comprehensive future for Louisville. <br />Cathern Smith, Louisville, stated she supports Cooperman for his advocacy for fighting <br />climate change at the local level. She urged Council to appoint Cooperman. <br />John Cowley, Louisville, stated he supports Cooperman for his problem solving skills <br />and ability to understand complex issues. He feels Cooperman would best represent <br />Ward I. <br />Scott Baskerville, Louisville, stated he supports Cooperman for his previous <br />commitment and work in town for sustainability and housing issues. <br />Cindy Bedell, Louisville, stated she supports Cooperman for his intelligence, critical - <br />thinking skills, and support for sustainability issues. <br />Susan McEachern, Louisville, stated she supports Cooperman for his support for <br />sustainability issues and his ability to work collaboratively. <br />
