City Council Meeting Minutes November 16, 2010 Page 2 of 11 Mayor Sisk called for changes to the Consent Agenda and hearing none, moved the Consent Agenda be approved, seconded by Councilor Dalton. All were in favor. Absent: Councilor Muckle. A. Approval of Bills B. Approval of November 1, 2010 Regular Meeting Minutes C. Approval of Special Meeting Minutes from November 8 and 9, 2010 D. Award Contract to Central State Roofing Insulation, Inc. for Police Department Roof Repair PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO continued the filibuster he began on April 6, 2010, which addresses his belief that the City of Louisville protects the interests of a large corporation and not the residents' interests. COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Mayor Sisk thanked the voters of Louisville for participating in the last election. He asked all to consider the less fortunate during the Thanksgiving season as the need is great. The Mayor reminded everyone the Parade of Lights will be December 3 and encouraged citizens to attend and visit the ice rink. (Muckle arrives) Mayor Sisk expressed his concern and irritation over the South Boulder Road and Highway 42 intersection construction. He felt the City needed to get the job finished so the businesses in the area don't continue to suffer. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT City Manager Fleming responded to Mayor Sisk's concern about the road project taking too long. He stated the crew was at the mercy of the weather in recent days and had been trying to minimize the difficulty to businesses and traffic. Public Works Director Phare stated the expectation is to remove the barrels blocking the unsafe lanes by the end of the week, barring any complications. REGULAR BUSINESS 2011 CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Mayor Sisk reported Council met on November 8 and 9 and interviewed many outstanding candidates for Boards and Commissions. He thanked Public Relations Manager Meredyth Muth for her able assistance with the interview process.
