City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> November 16, 2010 <br /> Page 2 of 11 <br /> Mayor Sisk called for changes to the Consent Agenda and hearing none, moved the <br /> Consent Agenda be approved, seconded by Councilor Dalton. All were in favor. <br /> Absent: Councilor Muckle. <br /> A. Approval of Bills <br /> B. Approval of November 1, 2010 Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> C. Approval of Special Meeting Minutes from November 8 and 9, 2010 <br /> D. Award Contract to Central State Roofing Insulation, Inc. for Police <br /> Department Roof Repair <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO continued the filibuster he began on <br /> April 6, 2010, which addresses his belief that the City of Louisville protects the interests <br /> of a large corporation and not the residents' interests. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Sisk thanked the voters of Louisville for participating in the last election. He <br /> asked all to consider the less fortunate during the Thanksgiving season as the need is <br /> great. The Mayor reminded everyone the Parade of Lights will be December 3 and <br /> encouraged citizens to attend and visit the ice rink. (Muckle arrives) <br /> Mayor Sisk expressed his concern and irritation over the South Boulder Road and <br /> Highway 42 intersection construction. He felt the City needed to get the job finished so <br /> the businesses in the area don't continue to suffer. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming responded to Mayor Sisk's concern about the road project taking <br /> too long. He stated the crew was at the mercy of the weather in recent days and had <br /> been trying to minimize the difficulty to businesses and traffic. <br /> Public Works Director Phare stated the expectation is to remove the barrels blocking the <br /> unsafe lanes by the end of the week, barring any complications. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> 2011 CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Mayor Sisk reported Council met on November 8 and 9 and interviewed many <br /> outstanding candidates for Boards and Commissions. He thanked Public Relations <br /> Manager Meredyth Muth for her able assistance with the interview process. <br />
