Award Contract to Simplex Grinnell for Museum Campus Fire Alarm <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO continued the filibuster addressing <br /> his belief that the City of Louisville protects the interests of large corporations and not <br /> the residents' interests. Mr. Sobel reported two companies, Level III /Netflix and Zoo <br /> Telephonics, have spoken against Comcast Cable Television business practices. He <br /> noted Cable Labs, located in Louisville, is responsible for setting the standards for cable <br /> equipment however the Chairman of Cable Labs is also the CEO of Comcast. He <br /> asked the Mayor and Council when they would act on behalf of the citizens of Louisville. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Councilor Muckle addressed Consent Agenda Item 4E, Resolution No. 72, Series 2010, <br /> which approved a grant for the restoration of windows on the Zarini House, located at <br /> 1109 LaFarge Avenue. He applauded the owners for preserving the historic windows. <br /> He responded to Mr. Sobel's comments relative to the City's providing notice to citizens <br /> with respect to Comcast Cable Television. He felt the City has met its obligation of <br /> providing notice to citizens through the City's Web page. <br /> Mayor Sisk commented on Consent Agenda Item 4A, Award Contract to Simplex <br /> Grinnell for Museum Campus Fire Alarm. He applauded Staff for their attention the <br /> museum. He commented on the success of the Parade of Lights and noted the Mayor of <br /> Glendale congratulated Louisville on the event. He reported the City hosted National <br /> League of Cities representatives and explained Louisville was one of the cities <br /> highlighted on the Colorado tour. <br /> Mr. Sobel responded to Councilor Muckle's comments and stated the City provides <br /> notice to the public in a very passive manner. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> No items to report. <br />
