RESOLUTION NO. 73 <br /> SERIES 2010 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO RATIFY THE (LOCATION AND APPROVE A SPECIAL REVIEW USE TO <br /> ALLOW FOR THE PLACEMENT OF AN ALTERNATIVE TOWER STRUCTURE FOR THE <br /> USE OF AN OMNI DIRECTIONAL SIREN BASED EMERGENCY MASS NOTIFICATION <br /> WARNING SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE ON THE CITY'S NORTH WATER <br /> TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1955 WASHINGTON AVENUE. <br /> WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville City Council an application for a <br /> Special Review Use to allow for an Alternative Tower Structure for the use of an omni- <br /> directional siren based emergency mass notification warning system for the City of Louisville <br /> that has been installed on the City's North Water Treatment Plan property, located at 1955 <br /> Washington Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is seeking ratification from the City Council for the location of a <br /> mass notification warning siren atop an Alternative Tower Structure at the North Water <br /> Treatment Plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City conducted a comprehensive alternatives analysis evaluating <br /> alternate locations and site specific concerns raised during the planning commission public <br /> hearing which recommends the emergency siren be relocated approximately 180 -feet north, <br /> northeast of its current location at the North Water Treatment Plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Planning Commission have reviewed the application <br /> and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 17.40 of the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on October 14, 2010 and continued on <br /> November 18, 2010, where evidence and testimony were entered into the record, including the <br /> findings in the Louisville Planning Commission Staff Reports dated October 14, 2010 and <br /> November 18, 2010, the Planning Commission recommended approval of said ratification and <br /> special review use with the condition: that the City relocate the existing emergency siren <br /> approximately 180 -feet north, northeast of its current location. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Louisville, <br /> Colorado does hereby approve a special review use to allow for the placement of an Alternative <br /> Tower Structure for the use of an omni directional siren based emergency mass notification <br /> warning system for the City of Louisville on the City of Louisville's North Water Treatment Plant <br /> located at 1955 Washington Avenue, with the condition that the City relocate the existing <br /> emergency siren approximately 180 -feet north, northeast of its current location. <br /> Or v.OUi;� ED AND ADOPTED this i day of 1 010. <br /> 1,.
