Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />December 8, 2010 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />2. Troy said that the Davidson Mesa crossing is a location of concern in the <br />City. Parks & Recreation, Planning, and Engineering are currently vetting <br />seven different options to address the dangerous area. The options partly <br />include: <br /> Underpass <br /> Single lane roundabout <br /> Double lane roundabout <br /> Pedestrian refuge <br /> Remove acceleration / deceleration lanes <br />Joe Stevens mentioned that Staff has reviewed records and made <br />inquiries about recent history and learned that no final, official decision <br />has ever been made regarding the crossing in question. This was <br />mentioned in response to recent Board discussions about a previous <br />Board process and final decision that was thought to have been made. <br />Ember Brignull <br />3. Ember checked about the cyclocross course near the Rec Center and <br />learned that there are no plans to take action to change the existing <br />circumstances. <br />4. Hazard tree project has been completed. <br />5. Trail work approval was granted to extend the project to continue onto <br />Aquarius Open Space Property. This will conclude the resurfacing of the <br />entire length of the Coal Creek trail in Louisville. <br />6. The Master Plan still in process. <br />Joe Stevens <br />7. Conservation easements regarding the Northwest Parkway have been <br />approved by Council. <br />Board Updates <br />1. Larry indicated that he did an educational video shoot. Larry was thanked <br />by Tom. <br />2. Larry Crowley and Aaron Grider were thanked for their three-year service. <br />They were provided with Certificates of Appreciation. <br />Discussion Item: Educational Opportunities <br />Presentation by CCTV – Frank Herman & Lori Laingor representing <br />Frank informed the Board that CCTV is a 501c3 organization, has been in <br />operation for six years, is located on Channel 54 in the Comcast network, is <br />available in 12,000 homes in east Boulder County including Louisville, and has <br />live streaming capability. <br />
