Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 9, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br />Brauneis stated the suggested project of permanent patios and removing the <br />parking on Main Street comes as a surprise to him. <br />Russ stated the permanent patios are only for 800 block of Main Street. <br />Russell asked how BRaD responded to the permanent patios. <br />McMillan stated they supported the idea. <br />Brauneis stated way-finding for parking is very important. <br />Sheets stated her agreement with picking out the cheaper projects first and the <br />way-finding signs are very important. She suggested staff consider re-writing Key <br />Change #3 so it does not sound like there is a parking problem. <br />Russell asked for a clarification of what is meant by back in parking and why it <br />should be used. <br />Russ stated the back in parking is being used in Seattle and Washington DC. <br />Back in parking has less movement, site lines are better and bike lanes can be <br />added while they are not allowed behind head in parking.
