HistoricalCommission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 20, 2010 <br />Louisville Public Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 p.m. <br />I.Call to Order <br />: Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />II.Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present <br />:Dan Mellish,Dave Ferguson, Diane Marino, Lynn Koglin, <br />Sally Burlingame, Anne Robinson, Don Ross, Colleen Vandendriessche, Jennifer Strand, Pat <br />Seader <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Dustin Sagrillo,Brian Chamberlin, Sean Moynihan <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Members of the Public Present: <br />Jean Morgan <br />III.Approval of Agenda: <br />Members approved the agenda. <br />IV.Approval of Aug.18and Sept.16meeting minutes: <br />Members approved the minutes. <br />V.Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />. Jean Morganbrought up two items.The <br />old safe taken out of City Hall is at the City shopsandshe expressed that it is an important <br />artifact of Louisville history and should not be forgotten.Also, shestated that other local <br />communities have pioneer parks where historic buildings can belocated. Jean said that she <br />wouldlike to see a pioneer park that could be a holding spot for older buildings thatmay <br />otherwise be destroyed or lost. <br />VI.Treasurer’s Budget:Dave Ferguson <br />Dave presented the following report: <br />Previous Balance$7,206.45 <br />Expenses$1,132.37 <br />Receipts$770 <br />CD$25,000.00 <br />Savings$4,805.05 <br />Checking$6,844.08 <br />Total$36,649.13 <br />The Commission approved the Treasurer’s report. <br />VII.Report from the Director of Library and Museum Services:Beth Barrett <br />Beth reported that theLouisville Art Association art competition themethis year was the <br />LouisvilleHistoricalMuseumand the paintings are currently hangingin the Children’s Services <br />at the Library.There is also an exhibit of quilts hanging in the Library. <br />Beth attended the annual ColoradoAssociation of Librariesmeeting and arecurring themeis <br />the collaboration oflibraries and museums to preservelocal history. <br />City of Louisville <br />Louisville Historical Museum <br />749 Main Street Louisville CO80027 <br />303-665-9048 (phone) 303-335-4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br /> <br />
