Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 15, 2010 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br />Koertje stated he would like to see a copy of the Cemetery Master Plan. <br />Lewis stated she would also like to have more discussion of the War Memorial. <br />Koertje asked if the city still owns plots. <br />Johnson stated only until they are sold. <br />Koertje said it would be helpful to know the number of city owned plots remaining and <br />what percentage is for those plots compared to total plots. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Pedestrian / Parking Plan <br />Gavin McMillan, Planner II, presented a PowerPoint for the Downtown <br />Pedestrian/Parking Plan. The primary topics he discussed were the mural placements, <br />historical walking tour and the public art. <br />Stewart stated he liked the plaque map image being shown from Longmont. <br />Koertje stated the Historical Commission already had a historical walking tour. <br />McMillan stated the walking tour would be more for public art, but could work in <br />conjunction with the walking tour pamphlet. <br />Poppitz asked if there was interest in creating the Main Street patios year round. <br />McMillan stated affirmative. <br />The commission thanked McMillan for presenting the plan to them and for keeping them <br />informed. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Demolition Application Process – Amendment to <br />LMC <br />Koertje recommended continuing this item to the December 13, 2010 meeting due to <br />late hour. The Commission agreed with this request. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Plaque Prices <br />Tofte, Stewart, and John Leary stated they are working on this project. Leary stated he <br />could get a 10” X 10” bronze plaque for $179. <br />The commission thanked them for their work and said to keep them posted. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Commercial Incentives <br />Koertje recommended this item get continued to the December meeting. <br />Committee Reports - none <br />Update on Demolition Requests – Grain Elevator <br />McCartney gave a brief update on the Historic Structure Assessment for the Grain <br />Elevator. <br />Discussion/Comments on Planning Department Referrals – none <br /> <br />
