Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 17, 2024 <br />Louisville Public Library, Second Floor Board Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 PM <br />Call to Order — Todd Budin, LSAB Chair called the meeting to order at 6:32pm <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Todd Budin (virtual), Josh Cooperman, John Cowley, Allison Kay, <br />Kevin Lombardo, and Tiffany Boyd. <br />Staff Members Present: Hannah Miller. <br />Approval of Agenda — <br />Allison moved to approve the agenda; Kevin seconded the motion. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes — <br />Tiff moved to approve the meeting minutes; Kevin seconded the motion. <br />Public Comments — <br />RJ Harrington: <br />• Great to see many of us at the Electrification Workshop. One note: we learned that our <br />neighboring communities actually have budget for the board (e.g. Lafayette has $9000). <br />Believes we have suggested that for Louisville over the years so that LSAB can use <br />money as they see fit. <br />Doug Grinsberg: <br />• Sent e-mail earlier about landscaping and noise pollution. Additional: <br />o Can we take our best practices at consortium of cities and collaborate with <br />Superior & Lafayette to pool resources to deal with noise pollution. <br />o Can we limit commercial noise pollution - make them have quieter equipment <br />and city only hire contractors with electric equipment, for example. <br />o When EPA was created under Nixon, an effort was made to control noise <br />pollution and distributed to states, but states haven't done anything. <br />o On August 10, 2000 we had an effort to curb noise from airports. Nothing <br />happened with that. <br />o We had police & ranger presence at bike to work week, and he really appreciated <br />that. <br />
