LCityof <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />COMMUNICATION <br />SUBJECT: CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM REPORT FOR THE <br />SECOND QUARTER ENDED JUNE 30, 2024 <br />DATE: AUGUST 15, 2024 <br />PRESENTED BY: JULIE GLASER, SENIOR ACCOUNTANT <br />KIM BAKER, ACCOUNTING MANAGER <br />SUMMARY: <br />Attached is the Capital Improvements Program report for the second quarter ended June <br />30, 2024. This report summarizes all capital projects that have been budgeted for 2024 <br />and contains the current expenditures for the year. <br />Department and Finance Staff will be available at the meeting to facilitate discussion and <br />answer questions. The PDF attachment is difficult to read, so staff will also be sending <br />the Committee the Excel version of the worksheet in a separate e-mail. Below are short <br />narratives by Department Directors. <br />Chief of Police, Rafael Gutierrez: <br />Six of the 2024 CIP open items for the Police Department are related to a <br />basement remodel/construction project that was approved in 2019 and an <br />Emergency Operations project approved in 2021. Work continues on the <br />projects, with some delays due to supply chain challenges for materials and <br />equipment. The seventh, and final 2024 CIP for the PD is related to acquiring <br />vehicles for our patrol fleet to fund the purchase and outfitting of 2-3 police <br />vehicles per year beginning in 2021. <br />Information Technology Director, Paulina Bennett: <br />Our projects are going well. We have moved ahead strong even though we have <br />had some staffing challenges.
