An executive session for this purpose is also authorized by the Open Meetings Law, Section 24-6- 402(4)(f) of the Colorado Revised Statutes, unless the employee who is the subject of the executive session has requested an open meeting. The City Manager has not requested an open meeting. MOTION: Mayor Leh moved to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter involving an employee directly appointed by the City Council, and that the executive session include all members of the City Council as well as City Attorney Kathleen Kelly and Special Counsel Marilee Langhoff. Councilmember Hoefner seconded the motion. VOTE: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Council adjourned to executive session at 6:04 pm. The Council meeting reconvened at 7:28 pm. REPORT — DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION — PERSONNEL MATTER City Attorney Kelly reported the executive session was for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter involving the City Manager, an employee directly appointed by the City Manager. The City Council has received an offer of resignation from the City Manager and she requested the City Council adopt a motion to direct the Special Counsel to work towards an agreement for acceptance of the resignation on terms that are acceptable to the City subject to final review and approval of the City Council at a future City Council meeting.
