LCity,/ <br />Louisville <br />ECONOMIC VITALITY COMMITTEE <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: STAFF UPDATES <br />DATE: SEPTEMBER 4, 2024 <br />PRESENTED BY: VANESSA ZARATE, CECD, ECONOMIC VITALITY MANAGER <br />AUSTIN BROWN, ECONOMIC VITALITY SPECIALIST <br />SUMMARY: <br />In the following, staff provides updates on recent activity related to economic vitality <br />functions. <br />Disaster Preparedness Month <br />September is Disaster Preparedness Month and Economic Vitality Staff is partnering <br />with the City's Recovery and Resilience team to prepare business focused promotion <br />and information. While the month will focus on all forms of disaster preparedness for <br />stakeholders in the City of Louisville, EV staff is working with staff to create business <br />focused content to share, highlighting how businesses can best prepare for any type of <br />emergency. <br />Louisville Revitalization Commission <br />The LRC moved forward with initial approvals for third -party reviews of projects for a <br />potential future TIF sharing agreement. These projects, Ironton and Delo Boom, are two <br />projects that would be new build projects within the urban renewal area. This third -party <br />review will evaluate each project separately and the impact the project will have within <br />the urban renewal area. After the third -party review, the LRC will determine if and how <br />they would want to move forward with a TIF sharing agreement. <br />Partner Highlight <br />Manufacturer's Edge is Colorado's official Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) <br />Center and provides onsite support, strategy, planning, training and technical <br />assistance to manufacturers of all sizes and industries. Manufacturer's Edge can act as <br />a trade association, advocacy group and training entity for manufacturing businesses <br />across Colorado. Manufacturer's Edge can provide small level grants, training and <br />networking opportunities, process solutions and access to a wide network across <br />Colorado and the nation. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />None. <br />
