Tealie Bottinelli was also one of the many injured during the catastrophic Denver and Interurban train <br />wreck that occurred on Labor Day in 1920. The electric commuter train was heading from Louisville to <br />Denver and was packed with Louisville residents attending a championship baseball game where <br />hometown boy, Tony LaSalle was playing. The train collided head on with an approaching train, killing 16 <br />people of which seven were Louisville residents. Another 40 out of 215 injured were from Louisville.
