The context report lists the style as National, a folk style popular between the 1850s and <br />1930s enabled by the expansion of railroads and access to cheaper lumber, combined <br />with the simple, older forms of previous decades. The National style has many different <br />forms, and often displayed simple form and ornamentation. <br />The building permit file contains a permit to install a front bay window in 2004, however <br />it appears this construction never took place. Further, "a finding of probable cause under this Section is solely for the <br />purposes of action on the pre-landmarking building assessment grant request, and such <br />finding shall not be binding upon the HPC, City Council or other party to a landmarking <br />hearing." <br />
