Report from Louisville History Foundation board representative, <br />Gordon Madonna (3 minutes): No report <br />VIII. Updates on Museum — Gigi Yang, Museum Services Supervisor, and <br />Sharon Nemechek, Director of Cultural Services: <br />A. Museum staff intro — Sophia Imperioli — Public History and Oral <br />History: Sophia was not able to attend the meeting <br />B. Budget updates: No new budget updates <br />C. Museum buildings and campus: UV film was placed on the <br />windows on the Jacoe store and Tomeo house except for the ones <br />with broken window panes. The Museum is working with HPC to get <br />funding to replace the broken window panes and conservation on the <br />historic doors, and to get interpretive signs for the museum building <br />and the outdoor education space. There is a preliminary report on the <br />restoration of the Miners cabins, and the Museum is looking for <br />grants to pay for the project <br />D. Museum Services Supervisor's written report: No additional <br />information from written report <br />E. Updates on Museum operations & projects: Louisville history <br />month is coming in September. Some of the events that will be <br />happening will be, an exhibit in the Library called Above and Below <br />Louisville, a Legendary Ladies performances, three walking tours, <br />and the vintage baseball game. Also, the museum is planning to <br />close sometime in November to reorganize the Jacoe store interior <br />and conservation of the Rex curtain. <br />F. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors: <br />The HMAB members approved the deeds by vote of 4 to 0, for the <br />following donations: <br />1. Paula Enrietto — large donation of items related to the Enrietto, <br />Sneddon, Clark families (3 generations of Louisville families <br />beginning in 1904) - including digital scans of photos, postcards <br />and letters, rations books, cookbooks, receipts from local <br />businesses, school report cards, small personal items, and a <br />pillow made from a Portland Cement bag. <br />
