it .
LIouisville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
SUBJECT: REVIEW OF NON-PROFIT GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR
2025/2026
DATE: SEPTEMBER 19, 2024
PRESENTED BY: RYDER BAILEY, CPA, FINANCE DIRECTOR
SAMMA FOX, DEPUTY CITY MANAGER
SUMMARY:
Finance Committee is being presented the 2025/26 Non -Profit Grant Applications for
review and funding recommendations.
Staff has summarized all requests in the Table 1, found on next page. Applications for
each Agency by page number are referenced in the furthest left column.
We received 11 applications, totaling $61,500 (2025) and $62,000 (2026) in requests.
The program is oversubscribed by $13,500 and $11,800 in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
The 2025-2026 Operating Budget currently includes $48,000 (2025) and $50,200 (2026)
for grants/contributions to non-profit agencies for each respective year. Found under
account 101121-538420.
No new applicants from the previous grant cycle were received. Furthermore, three
previous awardees did not apply.
A potential recommendation philosophy could be awarding entities their request, or no
greater than 50% of previously awarded funding. This methodology would also include
$5,000 in increased utility assistance program administered by Sister Carmen, which was
recently approved by Council in August. $2,200 in 2026 is currently not encumbered.
City Council will award 2025 and 2026 funds at a City Council date yet to be set later this
year.
11/251
