<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2006 <br />Page 3 of 15 <br /> <br />Michael Schonbrun, Applicant and Owner, thanked staff for the presentation and stated that he <br />had no additional comments but would address the Commission questions. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br />None heard. <br /> <br />Commission Questions of Staff and Applicant: <br />Lipton asked why there was the need to increase the number of units. <br /> <br />Schonbrun stated that the cost of construction since the beginning of discussions about the <br />project has increased between 30-40%. He illustrated the building changes by using a display <br />board of the elevations. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Closed / Commission Comments: <br />Dalton stated that he supports the request as presented. <br /> <br />Hartman, Loo, Lipton, Pritchard, Sheets and McAvinew all stated that they support the project. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />McAvinew moved and Loo seconded a motion to approve Resolution 27, Series 2006, without <br />conditions: The Residence at Balfour, a request to amend a final planned unit development <br />(PUD) plan for the construction an age-restricted senior independent living facility.
