RESOLUTION NO. 46 <br />SERIES 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE GRANT APPLICATION FOR A NON - <br />MOTORIZED TRAIL GRANT FROM COLORADO PARKS AND WILDLIFE <br />TOWARDS THE INSTALLATION OF TRAIL WAYFINDING SIGNAGE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville supports the Colorado Parks and Wildlife <br />grant application for the installation of trail wayfinding signage and if the grant is <br />awarded, the City of Louisville supports the completion and on -going maintenance of <br />the project. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has requested $50,000 from Colorado Parks <br />and Wildlife to match $50,000 City funds to install wayfinding signage along the <br />City's existing trail routes and infrastructure. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville will install wayfinding signage in physical <br />locations that the City will control and/or partner in controlling for at least the next 25 <br />years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Louisville strongly supports the <br />application for a grant with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. <br />Section 2. If the grant is awarded, the City Council of the City of Louisville <br />strongly supports the fulfillment of the project. <br />Section 3. If the grant is awarded, the City Council hereby authorizes the <br />City's Mayor at time of award to sign the grant agreement with Colorado Parks <br />and Wildlife. <br />Section 4. If the grant is awarded, the City Council of the City of Louisville <br />authorizes the expenditure of funds necessary to meet the terms and obligations of <br />the grant agreement, including $50,000 from the 2024 Conservation Trust Fund <br />currently allocated to the project. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of October, 2024. <br />ATTEST: <br />Genny Kline, Interim City Clerk <br />iii44.4 <br />ChristophVeiJM.
