<br />Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />also notes that city will be finishing Coal Creek Trail link and resurfacing <br />by end of 2006. <br />3) Staff Updates: Prairie Dogs. Jeff Moline provided an update on PD control <br />issues and needs. Particular problem w/ Warembourg expansion beyond <br />boundaries of established habitat area. Davidson Mesa, Aquarius, <br />Daughenbaugh properties also seeing significant population increases. <br />Jeff will be pursuing more active management options in areas. Jeff <br />estimates he spends 10-20% of his time on PD control work. <br />4) Staff Updates: Youth Corps projects very successful this year. 15 youth <br />staff, cost city $21,000. Jeff intends to continue program next year. <br />5) Staff Updates: City Council declines to appoint additional OS member <br />until January. <br />6) Staff Updates: Joint meeting with Lafayette OS Board in the works. Jeff <br />will contact them re: invitation to our November meeting. <br />7) Staff Updates: Progress being made on compliance with new OS rules <br />and regs. Tom Davinroy suggests that OSAB acknowledge residents who <br />are complying with a letter to the editor of the local paper(s). Tom will draft <br />letter and OSAB will review at October meeting. <br />8) Sun/STK Property: Board and Staff discuss issues surrounding access to <br />the property for a OSAB field trip. There is likely to be some sensitivity <br />regarding access given the potential conflicts in re-zoning, land use, etc. <br />Tom Davinroy notes that Sun/STK and any potential buyer(s) will want to <br />know how Louisville and Boulder County view the land and what issues <br />may arise in any transaction and development proposal. Jeff and Scott to <br />continue looking into the Sun/STK property issues and pursue options for <br />site visit. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br /> <br />1.
