RESOLUTION NO. 55 <br />SERIES 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN REVOCABLE <br />LICENSE AGREEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, Section 14-2 of the City of Louisville Home Rule Charter provides that, <br />except as otherwise provided in the Charter, the City may grant a permit or license at any <br />time for the temporary use or occupation of any street, alley, other public way, or City - <br />owned place, and requires such permit or license to be revocable by the City at any time <br />and without cause, whether or not such right to revoke is expressly reserved in the permit <br />or license; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 15-6 of the Charter requires approval of the registered <br />electors of the City to grant a license or easement to use any open space land; and <br />WHEREAS, temporary license agreements have been granted by the City for a <br />variety of activities and events, including seasonal street patios, the downtown farmer's <br />market, and to address historic boundary conflicts between public and private property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Section 8-3 of the Charter provides the City Manager is the chief <br />administrative official of the City and is responsible, subject to City Council oversight, for <br />contracts and other enactments of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires by this resolution to authorize the City <br />Manager sign revocable license agreements on behalf of the City as set forth herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign revocable license <br />agreements on behalf of the City to authorize temporary use or occupation of any street, <br />alley, or other public way, or City -owned place, other than City -owned open space. As <br />required by Section 14-2 of the Charter, all such permits and license agreements shall be <br />revocable by the City at any time and without case. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November 2024. <br />ATTEST: <br />ri.
