Should we take back to city leadership, Japanese <br />beetle management could be a topic for 2025 or 2026 <br />Reviewed page 27 of the Parks Fund Long -Term Forecast, Parks fund will be underfunded in <br />2027, draft language for this month's minutes: <br />"Parks will need additional support and funding beginning in 2027. We request that City Council <br />advise Director Bailey to provide scenarios for additional funding between 2027-2030." Abby will <br />share with Director Blackmore. Also requesting Director Bailey attend PPLAB meetings in early <br />2025. <br />Reviewed budget line items with Abby. <br />In response to a question from the board, Abby said there is additional land available to expand <br />the cemetery. <br />"Please, thank Directors Bailey and Blackmore for their work on getting OSAB and PPLAB <br />funds split following the tax hike being passed. PPLAB needs to continue to review those to <br />make sure that the Parks Department is adequately supported. " <br />VII. 2024 Work Plan — review <br />• 2024 City Council Work Plan - in packet for reference. <br />VIII. 2025 Work Plan - input <br />Reviewed draft work plan for 2025 on page 43 of the November PPLAB packet <br />1. Suggestion to add McCaslin gateway signage to work plan <br />2. Red Tail Ridge - parcel for parks or possible dog park - continue under collaboration as <br />an example - continue to monitor plans for new park and new dog park from Red Tail <br />Ridge Development <br />3. Objective to Continue to add pollinator plants to city parks, is this covered by our <br />Education Program Area or should this be added as a new Program Area? <br />4. Add Fire Hardening as a Program Area <br />5. Economic Vitality <br />6. EDI / outreach? <br />7. Include Education of community on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and sustainable <br />and environmentally safe use of pesticides and high nitrogen fertilizers. <br />8. Add Memory Square Playground renovation to Work plan for 2025. <br />5 <br />
