<br /> City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> January 3, 2006 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown explained other communities have comprehensive human <br />services needs studies of their jurisdiction and thus have a directive for non-profit <br />funding. He felt it would be a worth while for the Council to consider such a study. <br />Mayor Sisk recused himself from the vote on approval of the contribution to the <br />BVSD Impact on Education. He explained his wife was formerly the President of <br />that organization. He also recused himself from voting on the Hospice of <br />Boulder County, where his wife was formerly a member of the Board of Directors. <br />MOTION: Council member Sackett moved the Consent Agenda be approved, <br />seconded by Council member Clabots. Designation of Places for Posting of Notice of Public Meetings <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />City Manager Simmons reported on December 31, the Boulder County Health <br />Department received notice from a veterinarian that a cat, owned by a Louisville <br />family, died of the plague. It is assumed the death occurred as a result of eating <br />a diseased animal. The family is being treated and the Health Department has <br />examined the area. Approximately 50 notices were sent to residents in the area. <br />City's officials were not notified by the Boulder County Health Department, and <br />received an apology for the oversight. Simmons also reported the Legislative <br />Breakfast scheduled for Thursday, January 5 was not posted. The meeting will <br />be rescheduled to Monday, January 9, at 7:30 a.m., and be properly posted. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on a Town meeting in Boulder County, hosted by Senator <br />Allard, where City officials discussed transportation issues with the Senator. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> . -. <br />
