Award Bid for Aquatics Renovation Projects to Metal <br /> Warehouse and Kiva Corporation <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Matthew McAllister, 1149 Harper Lake Drive, Louisville, CO, a Monarch High <br />School student, requested the City Council consider passing a proclamation <br />supporting the ONE campaign, which is a collaboration of charities and relief <br />organization combating global AIDS and poverty. The campaign is non-profit and <br />is run primarily by Bread for The World and individual celebrities. <br />Lori Jones, 269 McKinley Park Lane, Louisville, CO requested Council <br />consideration in support of the Center Stage Theatre Company, which is a <br />children's theatre group. She explained the Center Stage Theatre Company is <br />trying to find a Cultural Arts facility in Louisville. She requested the Council's <br />support and sponsorship. <br />Ronda Grassi, 916 Main Street, Louisville, CO representing the Downtown <br />Business Association updated Council on the success of the Winter Skate <br />Program. She also reported on the planning process for the 2006 Summer <br />Street Faire, and requested Council financial sponsorship. <br />Michael Deborski, 601 Pine Street, Louisville, CO addressed the Highway 42 <br />Draft Plan and voiced his concern over the impact on businesses between Short <br />Street and Griffith. He stated there is a 10-foot section where the road would jog <br />to the west and impact the neighborhood businesses. He requested the 10-foot <br />section be taken from the ballparks or from the open space. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />Council member Sackett voiced his support the ONE Campaign as proposed by <br />Mr. McAllister. Mayor Sisk explained although he supports Mr. McAllister and the <br />ONE Campaign, the City generally does not get involved in resolutions pertaining <br />to national or world issues. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown suggested the ONE Campaign be put on a future agenda. <br />There was Council consensus. <br />Council member Clabots reported on the success of the Annual Heat Relief <br />Dinner, held on February 16, 2006 at the Recreation Center. He stated over <br />$16,000 was raised to help defray the heating bills for local needy families. <br />Council member Muckle responded to the Center Stage Theatre Company <br />request and stated the Council supports a regional Arts Center. <br />
