She requested the City hire a high-speed <br />wireless data service (internet) company to give the entire City a wireless high <br />speed connection. She suggested it be paid for as a City utility. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />Council member Clabots announced The Taste of Louisville is Saturday June 10. <br />Mayor Sisk reported the opening of the McCaslin Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge <br />was on Thursday, June 8 and the Monarch High School Graduation took place <br />on Saturday June 3, 2006. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown noted 1,000 Louisville residents participated in this year's <br />Boulder Bolder race. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> RECOGNITION - LOUISVILLE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS <br />The City of Louisville established an annual scholarship, which was created to <br />acknowledge and inspire community and civic involvement. Criteria for the <br />scholarship include: Louisville Residency; Attendance of Louisville school for at <br />least the last 2 years; a minimum GPA of 2.5 and Civic involvement and/or <br />employment with the City of Louisville.
